For more than 40 years, Premier has been a trusted remedial building and waterproofing partner on government, residential and major commercial projects.

Our executive team bring more than 100 years of combined experience to each project we undertake. This team is led by our Principal, Geoff Humby – a former tradesman, builder and property dealer, who studied Federal Law and spent 11 years working as a forensic and investigative detective with the Federal Government.

As a sole trader, Geoff developed unique building and waterproofing systems that have since been used internationally and on major national construction projects.

Our History

For more than 40 years, Premier has been a trusted remedial building and waterproofing partner on government, residential and major commercial projects.

1 1964

Geoff Humby launched GJ Humby Builders, a specialist domestic building company.

2 1971

GJ Humby Builders commenced major trading, expanding from domestic projects into commercial, industrial and property development.

3 1980

GJ Humby Builders purchased a waterproofing company from product supplier, Pacific Dunlop. The two businesses merged to form Premier Waterproofing.

4 2023

Officially 43 years in business! Premier has been at the forefront of new remedial building techniques and advancements, leading international research and development of high performing waterproofing products.

Our Principal, Geoff Humby, brings experience working in Federal Government criminal forensics, and has trained each member of the Premier Waterproofing team to follow the same rigid standards.
